Hi Jeri, thank you kindly for the 5-star review. Yes, the 24 gauge headpins are thin. They are ideal for wire-wrapping gemstones / pearls with smaller holes due to the delicate drilling that goes into creating the beads. I do offer 21 gauge, balled end headpins for future work if you are in need. They are half-hard temper available https://southpawbeads.etsy.com/listing/70481546
